What FeedOps reads
- Product feed diagnostics
- Merchant Center issue and status data
- Product-level reporting signals
- Impression and click data used to calculate visibility metrics
Google Shopping Feed Audit
The audit uses read-only Google Merchant Center access to review product feed health, product issue data, and reporting signals such as impressions and clicks. Those signals let FeedOps generate visibility metrics without editing your feed, campaigns, pricing, shipping, or account settings.
Access scope
The audit is designed to show visibility gaps, product data issues, and Merchant Center reporting signals that may be holding back Shopping and Performance Max results.
Reporting access lets the audit connect product data quality to performance signals. FeedOps uses impressions, clicks, and related product-level reporting data to calculate visibility metrics, spot products with impressions but no clicks, and identify products with no impressions.
Access can be removed from Google Merchant Center at any time. The audit does not require a credit card, does not require Google Ads access, and does not commit you to becoming a FeedOps customer.
Minimum access required
For the free audit, FeedOps only needs Performance and Insights access, also known as a reporting-focused role. This lets the audit read reporting data, analyze health metrics, and identify optimization opportunities without changing your product data.
| Service level | Required access role | What this enables FeedOps to do |
|---|---|---|
| Audit Only | Performance and Insights / Reporting Manager | Read report data, analyze feed health metrics, and identify optimization opportunities without changing any feed data. |
| Trial Tier | Standard Access | Publish and update product data. If your existing solution stays active during the trial, FeedOps can use a supplemental feed. Otherwise, FeedOps may connect directly via the Merchant API to manage optimizations. |
| Fully Managed Feed Service | Admin Access | Proactively manage and fix Merchant Center errors, resolve account suspensions, support conversion tracking, manage Google Ads account linking, and complete advanced Merchant API developer registrations. |
After you click Add user, Google emails an automated invitation to FeedOps. Access will show as pending until FeedOps accepts it. Please notify your FeedOps contact once the invite is sent so the audit or service setup can begin.
