New Features
The vast majority of people search for products using predictable patterns. Title templates allow you to optimize many product titles at once. Today FeedOps has added 2 new features to help make your product optimization experience even better:
- The ability to add text to product titles
- The ability to remove the original website title
Case study
Here is an example of how you can use both together.
Say, for example that we are optimizing a product feed for a website that sells Australian made socks made from:
- Alpaca
- Merino
- Cotton
- Bamboo
(each of the bullet points above is a product type).
The predictable search pattern is “Australian Made + {Product Type} + Socks”. E.g. Australian Made Alpaca Wool socks
Using the FeedOps product title editor you can insert “Australian Made” & “Socks” at either side of the product type.
Below are examples of what the final product title would look like in Merchant Center:
- Australian Made Alpaca Socks Alpaca Wool Socks (Exceptionally Warm Luxury)
- Australian Made Merino Socks 90% Fine Merino Wool Winter Socks (Heavy-Knit )
- Australian Made Socks 95% Mercerised Cotton Sock
- Australian Made Bamboo Socks Sustainable Bamboo-Rayon Sock
In most cases leaving the original title in place is a good idea because It helps to keep the product titles unique but you do have the option to refine it further to improve the readability.
In the example below we have drilled down to alpaca socks, the original product title has been removed completely and replaced with the text “Warm Winter Luxury” and to keep the titles for each SKU unique size and color have been added.
This is what the final product title would look like in Merchant Center:
- Australian Made Alpaca Socks (Warm Winter Luxury) Small / Blue
- Australian Made Alpaca Socks (Warm Winter Luxury) Small / Red
- Australian Made Alpaca Socks (Warm Winter Luxury) Small / Green
- Australian Made Alpaca Socks (Warm Winter Luxury) Medium / Blue
- Australian Made Alpaca Socks (Warm Winter Luxury) Medium / Red
- Australian Made Alpaca Socks (Warm Winter Luxury) Medium / Green
